Farewell So Uk

Comprising 16 residential blocks, So Uk Estate was constructed between 1955 and 1963. It was back then one of the largest housing developments in Asia. Considering its structural condition, the Housing Authority decided to demolish the Estate in two phases - in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Before the clearance, many sitting tenants, shop owners and even ex-residents of So Uk came forward to share their fond memories of the Estate, leaving behind a vivid historic record. |
