Picture: Five-day Week in the Government
 

From 1 April 2007, the Housing Department (HD) has implemented Five-day Week Phase Two. Following the expansion of rent collection network to include 7-Eleven convenience stores and MTR Customer Service Centres starting from March and May 2007 respectively, the opening hours of the following shroff counter services with effect from 1 October 2007 are as follows:

Shroff counter services provided at the Property Management Units (PMUs) and the District Tenancy Management Offices (DTMOs)

(The actual cash collection service hours of each PMU and DTMO may vary depending on local service needs. Details are available at individual shroff counters.)		 Monday - Friday

There are alternative channels for rent payment. Tenants may pay rent through other means such as autopay, Payment by Phone, automatic teller machine, 7-Eleven convenience stores, MTR Customer Service Centres etc.
 

From 1 July 2006, the opening hours of some of our offices are as follows:

* For emergency estate management and maintenance services outside office hours, please contact HA hotline at 2712 2712.
 

For most of backend offices, including the Headquarters Building in Ho Man Tin, the opening hours are 8:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, lunch break 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The opening hours of the Independent Checking Unit are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Friday; while those of Receipt and Despatch Counter service are 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, Monday to Friday.
 
The operating hours of the Warden Service at Housing for the Senior Citizens remain unchanged, i.e. 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
 
A drop-in box is provided at the atrium of the Hong Kong Housing Authority Headquarters for the collection of documents submitted by members of the public in person from 8:45 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.  These include appeals submitted under the Housing Ordinance and the Estate Agents Ordinance.
