The following payment methods of rent (including the licence fee for interim housing) are currently available to public housing tenants:
|
 |  | | |  | Public housing tenants using the Housing Department e-payment card can pay their rent at more than 900 7-Eleven over the territory, or at the Customer Service Centre of all MTR stations including 78 stations along Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Island Line, Tseung Kwun O Line, Tung Chung Line, East Rail Line, West Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line and 6 Light Rail (LR) stations at Tin Yat, Town Centre(Tuen Mun), Yuen Long Terminus, Ferry Pier Terminus(Tuen Mun), Leung King and Tin Shui Wai Station (except Airport Express stations, Lo Wu Station, Lok Ma Chau Station, Racecourse Station and Disneyland Resort Station);
| |  | Only cash payment will be accepted at 7-Eleven and Customer Service Centres of MTR and LR. Tenants using this payment method should pay their rent at least three working days before the end of the calendar month in order to allow enough time for the transaction to be processed within the same month;
| |  | Tenants are advised to check carefully and ensure the details printed on the receipt, such as the Electronic Payment Tenant Code, payment date and time, as well as the amount paid are correct. Tenants should keep the receipt or make photocopies for record purpose;
| |  | The 7-Eleven Hotline is 2299 1110. The MTR Hotline is 2881 8888.
| | |
 |  | | |  | Autopay is a time-saving method which can spare tenants the trouble of queuing up for paying the rent;
| |  | Tenants who choose to pay the rent by means of autopay may obtain an autopay authorization form at the respective estate offices;
| | | Tenants are required to bring along with them the completed autopay authorization form together with the relevant bank passbook/statement to the respective estate offices during office hours for the processing the application. Autopay account holders can be the tenants themselves or their family members/relatives.
| | |
 |  | | |  | Starting from 1 June 2007, the rent allowance granted to households in public rental housing/interim housing under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme (CSSA) will be directly transferred to the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) by the Social Welfare Department (SWD). This arrangement is normally applicable to all CSSA households receiving rent allowance equivalent to or less than the monthly rent of their flats;
| |  | For CSSA households receiving rent allowance equivalent to the full amount of their monthly rent, their rent allowance will be credited to the HA directly by the SWD. Such households need not arrange separate monthly rental payment;
| |  | For CSSA households receiving rent allowance that only covers their monthly rent partially or those whose monthly CSSA payment is less than the rent allowance, they are required to settle the remaining balance at rent payment channels such as 7-Eleven, MTR Customer Service Centres and the estate shroff offices;
| |  | If rent payment of the CSSA households is settled by means of autopay, the HA will either suspend or adjust the amount to be debited from their designated bank accounts according to the SWD's information. Should any rent payment be subsequently found unsettled, the households concerned are required to make separate payments to the HA;
| |  | If in future SWD has the need to recover or reduce the amount of rent allowance already paid to HA, under normal circumstances, the households concerned should be responsible for repaying the overpaid amount to SWD;
| |  | For enquiries regarding the arrangements on direct payment of CSSA rent allowance, please contact the case worker of SWD;
| | | For other enquiries, please call the HA Hotline at 2712 2712 or contact staff of the estate offices.
