The Awards Presentation Ceremony for the “Quality Public Housing Construction and Maintenance Awards” co-organised by the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) and industry associations was held on 25 November 2017 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre this year. By commending the outstanding performance of contractors, supervisors, project teams and frontline workers, the Awards aims at encouraging continuous improvement in quality and innovation in the new works and maintenance sectors. This year more than 150 awards and certificates were awarded. Comprising representatives of the HA and co-organisers, the assessment panels’ selection was based on work quality, workmanship, environmental protection, occupational safety and health, ethical integrity, partnering and customer service.
The co-organising partners this year are: the Hong Kong Construction Association, Hong Kong Federation of Electrical & Mechanical Contractors, Hong Kong Construction Sub-contractors Association, Hong Kong Construction Industry Employees General Union, Construction Site Workers General Union, Hong Kong & Kowloon Electrical Engineering & Appliances Trade Workers Union, Hong Kong General Union of Lift and Escalator Employees, Labour Department, Occupational Safety & Health Council, Construction Industry Council and Vocational Training Council.
