HD Named Caring Organisation for Six Consecutive Years

In recognition of its commitment to be a caring corporate citizen, the Housing Department (HD) has been awarded the "5 plus Consecutive Years Caring Organisation Logo" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. It is the sixth consecutive year from 2006/07 for the HD to win the Caring Organisation Logo.

All nominees for the Caring Organisation Logo are assessed in three aspects, namely Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees, and Caring for the Environment. A total of 16 judging criteria are set under these three aspects, including Employing the Vulnerable, Volunteering, Employee Safety, Work-life Balance, Successful Implementation of Environmental Protection Practice, Environmental Label or other recognition, etc. The HD has accomplished 15 of them, far more than the minimum requirement of fulfilling two criteria under each of the three aspects.
