Mr TANAKA graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Science University of Tokyo in 1968. He then joined the Japan Housing Corporation (HUD) in the same year. After 14 years of services, he was transferred to station at the Directorate of Housing, Department of Public Works as the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Indonesia from 1982 to 1984.

In 1985, he rejoined the HUD in Japan as Project Manager of the Urban Redevelopment Project. During that time, he participated in the city plan determination, life rehabilitation and compensation contract, etc.

During his 32 years of services in the HUD, he has been involving in collective housing development and urban redevelopment project in Tokyo metoroporitan city area.
