Housing Conference 1996
	The international Housing Conference, hosted by the Hong Kong Housing Authority in conjunction with five professional institutes, was held on 20-23 May 1996 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for over 500 local and overseas delegates.
	Theme of Conference Objectives Co-hosts Conference Programme Country Presentation: Hong Kong

The Theme of the Conference was "Housing for Millions -- The Challenge Ahead" with focus on public housing. Discussions were structured around three broad areas:

• Housing Management and Maintenance


• Housing Policy and Administration


• Housing Design, Technology and Planning

Objectives of the Conference :

• to provide a forum for exchange of views on housing issues among policy makers, practitioners, academics, politicians and interest groups from Hong Kong and overseas;


• to share ideas and experience at an international level;


• to explore new approaches in the future development and improvement of the public housing programme.
