Mr David LANE has extensive experience in most facets of architectural projects ranging from single residences, townhouse developments, high-rise unit developments, small commercial projects, schools, churches, hospitals, and aged care and retirement housing. Mr LANE however specialises in architectural design for medically-related long term institutional and residential facilities and is a senior partner in the practice of Thomson Adsett and Partners Australia - one of the largest architectural firms in Queensland and Australia.

During the past 15 years, he has been responsible for the design of a significant number of the more innovative aged care facilities in Australia, Singapore, Japan and more recently in Hong Kong.

Mr LANE was appointed by the Australian Government in 1993, along with two other consultants, to develop a Good Practices Manual for the Environmental Design of Dementia Care Facilities.
