Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr Louis LOONG received his Master of Business Adminstration from the University of Hong Kong. He started his career in banking with HSBC and has acquired extensive experience in baanking and telecommunications.

Mr LOONG was appointed Secretary General of The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong in September 1999. Prior to this appointment, Mr LOONG was the Director of Corporate Affairs of Hongkong Telecom, responsible for leading the company's activites in Government, public and community affairs.

Mr LOONG committed a great deal of his spare time on community services. He is the Chairman of the Special Fundraising Committee of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF.
