Dr LIM was graduated from Seoul National University with a B.Sc. in Architecture in 1974. He entered the Korea National Housing Corporation (KNHC) in 1975 and have since conducted researches on urban development, planning and housing policies. Meanwhile he had opportunities to study at the University College London in the U.K. twice with the financial support of the KNHC and obtained his M.Sc. in Urban Development in 1986 and Ph.D. in 1994. He is presently responsible in the field of housing and planning and is a Senior Research Associate at the Housing Research Institute of the KNHC.
