In 2023 we undertook an array of special, memorable events aimed at involving as many different individuals and groups as possible in our celebrations. A video entitled %u201c50 Years of Building Homes%u201d was produced and broadcast on local television channels to remind the public of HA%u2019s development and accomplishments over the years. Another highlight was a 50th Anniversary Photo Contest, which invited members of the public, public housing residents and HA staff to capture the essence of public housing life in photographs. For young people, the %u201cHA Cup%u201d 3x3 Basketball Challenge brought together keen young basketball players from public housing estates across Hong Kong, in an exciting two-day competition held in August 2023. A forum titled %u201cEvolution of Public Housing in Hong Kong %u2013 Dialogue with the New Generation%u201d, led by the Secretary for Housing, engaged young professionals to discuss and explore the future development of public housing. We also produced a richly illustrated 50th Anniversary commemorative book, which included a collection of precious photos of public housing life over the past half-century, along with reflections shared by former housing policy heads and accounts of celebrities who grew up in public housing estates. The publication has been honoured with the Gold Award of the Company History Publication (Up to 50 Years) from The 2024 International Business Awards. A series of eight TV documentary episodes were also produced containing interviews with key figures who have driven or witnessed the progress of public housing, which were well received by the general public.These joyous anniversary initiatives culminated with a formal 50th Anniversary Ceremony held in December 2023, officiated by the Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, and Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People%u2019s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr He Jing, and attended by over 100 distinguished guests %u2013 a fitting conclusion to an exceptional year! %u300c%u5efa%u5c4b%u5efa%u5bb6%u300d%u77ed%u7247%u201c50 Years of Building Homes%u201d Video%u96fb%u8996%u77ed%u7247TV video
