                                                               The HA’s efforts to care for its tenants go far beyond
                                                               simply  providing affordable  housing to low-income
                                                               families.  We care especially  for the elderly residents,
                                                               who often have special needs in relation to accessibility,
                                                               health and safety. The Emergency Alarm System (EAS)
                                                               is  a  particularly  helpful  service  benefitting  many  of
                                                               these elderly residents. This is a 24-hour support service
                                                               provided by some commercial and non-governmental
                                                               organisations under which subscribers simply need to
                                                               press an alarm button for assistance in emergencies.
