Over the past five decades, HA has been rising to the challenge of meeting housing targets set to accommodate the different housing needs of Hong Kong people. By 2023, HA had overseen the construction of around 1 330 000 public housing units. From 1973 to 2023, we sold approximately 510 000 subsidised sale flats (SSFs), and allocated over 1 604 500 PRH flats to individuals and families in urgent need of accommodation. In 2023/24, HA continued with its long commitment of planning for new housing, providing PRH to low-income families who cannot afford private rental accommodation, and providing SSFs to address the home ownership aspirations of low- to middleincome families.
