Our data matching and verification arrangement with the Land Registry became operational in June 2023, enabling us to conduct quick searches on whether PRH applicants and PRH tenants own domestic property in Hong Kong and follow up cases speedily. As part of our continuous promotion and education efforts, we also conducted a full programme of anti-tenancy abuse publicity during the year. This involved distributing aerogrammes, leaflets, calendar cards and Estate Newslettersrelating to tenancy abuse, putting up %u201cHousing Protector%u201d display boards, posters and banners in estates, broadcasting animated videos and rolling text on the Housing Channel, running online advertisements, television and radio broadcasts, and sending our promotional truck on visits to different estates. Advertisements were also widely placed on trams, buses and the MTR.Cleaning and Rodent Control Our Anti-rodent Campaign for 2023/24 was launched in phases across all our PRH estates during the year, supplemented by a Year End Cleaning Campaign launched shortly before the Lunar New Year. Apart from running the Anti-rodent Campaign, we also devised a set of estate work plans laying out in detail actions to be taken for rodent prevention and control. These work plans not only included enhancements to our regular estate cleansing and inspection work, but also enhanced publicity and education initiatives, special efforts to tackle hygiene blackspots, and stepping up of inspections and enforcement actions, such as the issuance of Fixed Penalty Notices for hygiene-related misdeeds.
