About deciduous trees...

The Big-leaved Fig in front of you is one of the deciduous tree species that sheds its leaves within a short period of time due to change in season.

Meanwhile, evergreen trees also shed its leaves subtly and continuously round the year just like our hair.

Leaf fall could be a sign of the tree’s self-protection mechanism at work when the tree is under stress. The tree can prevent excessive loss of water and nutrients from the leaves in order to cope with such stress.
