Life

Water is essential for the growth of seeds. Tree rings on each plank are the marks of life's journey. The waterdrop-shaped sculpture - "Life" symbolizes the vitality of a seed. It is made of wood planks slices from the timber from the former Queen's Hill Barracks. After stripping off the bark, the artist strung each original plank in an oval frame. With the high-rise residential blocks as the backdrop, "Life" is a metaphor for a robust seed deeply rooted in Queens Hill Estate.
