Audit Findings of Housing Authority Lift and Escalator Nominated Sub-contracts Safety Auditing System (HALENSAS)

Since the implementation of Housing Authority Lift and Escalator Nominated Sub-contracts Safety Auditing System (HALENSAS) under Housing Authority Safety Auditing System from 1 January 2013, lift and escalator works of new works contracts have been subject to audit conducted by the Accredited Safety Auditors managed by Occupational Safety & Health Council (OSHC) for 3 times during the active installation period. Findings are recorded and shared with the contractors, industry stakeholders and works colleagues of Housing Department (HD) by OSHC through regular site safety seminars organised by HD. Examples of good practice are collected and shown here for enhancement of the safety standard of the industry.
