Domestic Removal Allowance is payable to the affected households in pubic rental housing estates announced for Estate Clearance. The amount payable to each household depends on the household size and is subject to periodic review.

Single-person household can opt to receive a Singleton Allowance in lieu of rehousing plus Domestic Removal Allowance. Upon receipt of the allowance, they are debarred from further payments of allowance and allocation of any form of public housing for two years.

Two-person household can opt to receive a Doubleton Allowance in lieu of rehousing plus Domestic Removal Allowance. Upon receipt of the allowance, they are debarred from further payments of allowance and allocation of any form of public housing for two years.
