Having been a supporter of environmental protection, the Housing Authority Staff Club (HASC) has participated in the "Waste No Food Campaign" launched by Friends of the Earth (HK).

In the HASC Annual Dinner held earlier, only six main courses instead of eight traditionally were served. With the help of the Housing Authority Volunteer Corps, the leftover rice, noodles and desserts were collected and donated to Food Angel for providing over 80 meal boxes to those in need in Sham Shui Po. Since February 2014, the HASC Restaurant has been donating fresh, unused vegetables to Food Angel for preparing meal boxes.

As a token of appreciation to HASC's unfailing support, Food Angel presented a souvenir trophy to our representative in the Thanksgiving Luncheon on 28 August.
