Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme
In his 2015 Policy Address, the Chief Executive proposed to the Hong Kong Housing Authority that suitable flats should be identified among its public rental housing (PRH) developments under construction for sale to Green Form (GF) applicants in the form of a pilot scheme, with prices set at a level lower than those of Home Ownership Scheme flats. This scheme will help GF applicants achieve home ownership while releasing more PRH flats for PRH Applicants. A total of 857 Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Pilot Scheme (GSH) flats have been put up for pre-sale in October 2016. All flats have been sold in February 2017.
The Housing Authority reviewed the Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme pilot project and endorsed regularising the GSH in January 2018. After the sale exercises of GSH 2018 and GSH 2019, the HA has considered the persistent and ardent demand for subsidised sale flats in society. The HA endorsed that the recovered flats from estates under the Tenants Purchase Scheme (TPS ) will be put up for sale together with the sale of GSH flats and the sale of Home Ownership Scheme flats. About 2,637 new GSH flats (including about 525 re-sale flats) and about 800 recovered TPS flats will be put up for pre-sale in May 2021. Only Green Form applications are accepted.
