Actively participated in the World Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2017 (WSBE17) Hong Kong held from 5 to 8 June, the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) strives to promote healthy living and a green environment in public housing developments. Jointly organised by the Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council, with a theme of "Transforming Our Built Environment through Innovation and Integration: Putting Ideas into Action"; WSBE17 Hong Kong was one of the 2015-2017 Cycle of the renowned Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) Conference Series which was regarded as the "Olympics" for the green building industry and the most influential of its kind globally. The event was also one of the celebratory events of the 20th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The HA has made the following contributions to WSBE17 Hong Kong:

(2) Setting up an exhibition booth to promote HA’s policies, sustainability initiatives, award winning and green building rated projects, research and development achievements, as well as displays on walkability and green public transport of the Transport and Housing Bureau (Transport Branch);
(3) Arranging guided green-building technical visits on 8 June for conference participants to two of our award winning public rental housing estates, namely Hung Fuk Estate in the New Territories and Wah Ha Estate on Hong Kong Island; and
(4) Contributing HA’s stories about community engagement, researches and public housing projects to the Hong Kong 2017 Report for distribution during the conference.
