Main content |
The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) is committed to greening its public housing estates to create a pleasant living environment for tenants. Through the Landscape Improvement Programme (LIP), for instance, the Horticulture Unit plants more trees and flowers and gives existing landscape features a facelift at the selected public housing estates every year. |

The Horticulture Unit carried out LIP in Kai Ching Estate in September. Flower beds were enhanced, the Central Lawn re-turfed. With the addition of new footpaths, kerbs, a drainage system, etc, the lawn has returned green and lush. The improved landscape is well received by the tenants there. |

Following the kick-off ceremony for the re-turfed lawn held on 9 November, a talk and a guided tour were organised to promote community participation in a green environment and cultivate gardening knowledge among residents. Other estates benefited from LIP this year include Sau Mau Ping South Estate, Siu Sai Wan Estate and Butterfly Estate, etc. |
