Hong Kong Housing Authority and Housing Department

The Hong Kong Housing Authority Headquarters (HAHQs) has been honoured with the Silver Award of the Commendation Scheme on Source Separation of Commercial and Industrial Waste 2019/20, organised by the Environmental Protection Department. The scheme encourages participating organisations to monitor the effectiveness of their waste separation and recovery mechanisms in their commercial and industrial buildings, and to strive for further improvements.

Waste separation and recycling bins are provided at different locations of the HAHQs to collect waste paper, aluminium cans, plastics and glass bottles. HA staff are encouraged to actively participate in waste recovery and to put the HA’s green concept into practice.
