Hong Kong Housing Authority and Housing Department

The Hong Kong Housing Authority’s (HA’s) contractors of New Works Contracts and Maintenance Works Contracts have been honoured in the 22nd Construction Safety Award and Award Presentation. Jointly organised by the Occupational Safety and Health Council, Labour Department and government departments, unions and associations, the award presentation ceremony was held on 10 November.

With almost 400 entries competing for 18 award categories, the HA’s contracts have received a total of 10 awards – two gold awards, five silver awards, one bronze award and two merit awards in the categories of “Best Safety Enhancement Program for Working at Height”, “Best Safety Enhancement Program for Lifting Operation”, “Competition on Safety Culture – Best Safety Culture Site”, “Competition on Safety Culture – Best Safety Activity Team”, “Best Refurbishment and Maintenance Contractor in Occupational Safety and Health (Main Contractor Category)” and “Best Refurbishment and Maintenance Contractor in Occupational Safety and Health (Sub-Contractor Category)”.
