Co-organised by the Civil Service Bureau and the School of Government of Peking University, the first Master's Degree in Public Policy Programme for senior civil servants of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has commenced. An inauguration ceremony was held at Peking University on 28 September. |

A senior architect nominated by the Housing Department was admitted to the Programme and has commenced her first year at Beijing. There are 14 civil servants in the class, from different departments and grades. The Programme not only broadens the horizons and enhances the expertise of the students in public administration, but also enables them to gain first-hand experience of the country's development on various fronts through visits to different parts of the Mainland, and provides them with opportunities for exchanges with scholars, officials and other professionals in the relevant fields in the Mainland. The class has recently visited places including the Beijing Office of HKSAR, Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park and China Aviation Museum. |
