Hong Kong Housing Authority and Housing Department

The Hong Kong Housing Authority has joined the Labour and Welfare Bureau’s "Talent-Wise Employment Charter and Inclusive Organisations Recognition Scheme" (the Charter Scheme) as both an "Employer Organisation" and a "Supporting Organisation", to align with the Government's policy on promoting the employment opportunities of persons with disabilities.

In addition to employing persons with disabilities, we have been striving to provide necessary assistance to staff with disabilities to facilitate their performance of duties, to enhance the employment opportunities of the disabled by procuring products and services such as catering, office cleaning and car washing services from rehabilitation social enterprises and non-governmental organisations, to provide continued support for the Social Welfare Department’s Sunnyway Programme by offering more job attachment opportunities to disabled teenagers aged between 15 and 18, and to encourage business partners to join the Charter Scheme.
