Lai Yiu Shopping Centre
Lai Yiu Shopping Centre is situated at the junction of Lai Yiu Street and Lai Cho Road, inside Lai Yiu Estate in Kwai Chung. The two-storey shopping centre was completed in 1977 with a total lettable area of about 2,600 square metres.
Retail and service businesses now operating at the shopping centre include eateries, supermarket, clinic, barber shop, education and cultural centre, residential care home for the elderly and welfare organizations etc. Apart from a convenience store and a Chinese restaurant,market-stall area of about 208 square meters offering dry and wet goods inside the market. Given the diversity of trades, the shopping centre can cater for the daily need of the local community.
The three-storey car park at the shopping centre, with the entrance facing Lai Cho Road, provides ample hourly parking spaces.
The availability of public transport adds advantage to the shopping centre. There are a bus terminal and a taxi stand, while many routes of green public light buses stop by the shopping centre.
